Zoox's Robot Software Infrastructure team is building the foundational operating system and platform-level software that powers autonomous vehicles. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop and advance the common performant operating system that runs on multiple devices within the vehicle, including critical Autonomy systems. This role focuses on platform-level software and services that enable complex, hardware-accelerated workloads essential for autonomous driving on automotive-grade hardware.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, release management, hardware engineering, manufacturing, and operations to support vehicle development and deployment at scale. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust software infrastructure, optimizing performance for real-time autonomous driving requirements, and ensuring reliability across the vehicle's computing ecosystem.
This is an opportunity to influence the next generation of Zoox's platform, hardware architecture, and robotaxi technology. You'll tackle a broad problem space while maintaining awareness of how individual components integrate into the larger autonomous vehicle system. The role requires strong systems-level thinking, experience with operating systems or embedded systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively across hardware, software, and operations teams to deliver production-grade autonomous vehicle technology.
