Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Manufacturing Test organization. This role focuses on developing and maintaining test executive software that systematically and thoroughly validates products across land, sea, and air platforms. You will work on complex, multiplatform problems with heavy reliance on cloud data systems, championing automation to reduce operator time and instruction complexity through parallel execution, data acquisition, and automated deployment tools. Key responsibilities include developing applications for Windows and Linux desktop environments, integrating cloud data and deployment features while maintaining security and authentication, generating automation scripts in Python for debug and prototype development, triaging issues and coordinating root cause analysis, and partnering with end-users to translate needs into features while balancing user experience with engineering constraints. Required qualifications include a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience. You must have expertise in Python software development, experience integrating or developing low-level code and device libraries/drivers, and hands-on experience with CI/CD and DevOps automation for app deployment and testing. Additional requirements include proficiency with git version control, experience on multi-disciplinary projects working with Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineers, expertise in automated unit/integration/system-level testing, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance. Preferred qualifications include 8+ years of relevant industry experience, background in manufacturing or industrial software, understanding of device communication protocols (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet), expertise in desktop application development with WPF and C#, embedded systems experience, proficiency with RESTful services in AWS/Azure, knowledge of relational databases (DB2, SQL Server) or NoSQL, and experience with test automation or cloud deployment tools. The role requires 25-50% travel to Costa Mesa headquarters if located at another site.
