The Hospitality group is seeking a Senior Android Software Engineer to develop high-availability, real-time POS systems with a focus on payments and payment processing.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain Android-based POS software that powers restaurant operations for both full-service and quick-service establishments. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, design, and backend engineering to define and deliver impactful features. Key responsibilities include ensuring software quality through automated testing and code reviews, providing technical leadership and mentoring to team members, addressing complex technical challenges, and contributing to subsystem-level design work focused on scalability, security, and performance. You'll also stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to influence the product roadmap.
Required qualifications include 8+ years of professional Android development experience with proficiency in both Java and Kotlin. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field is required. You should have proven experience building high-availability, real-time systems, ideally in payments or fintech. Experience with RxJava, secure payment protocols, PCI compliance, and payment processing workflows is preferred. You must demonstrate strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
