Yoodli is an AI-powered communication coaching platform that helps professionals improve their speaking and presentation skills. The company has raised $60M (Series B led by WestBridge Capital), is valued at $300M, and serves enterprise customers including Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, and RingCentral, with learners in over 150 countries.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Roleplays team, you'll work on the core engine powering Yoodli's AI-native learning experience. You'll build scalable, reliable backend services that support real-time AI interactions and enterprise-grade rollouts. The role spans both frontend and backend work, with a focus on technical depth—handling distributed systems, LLM integration, and real-time communication challenges—while staying connected to user experience and business impact.
You'll own services end-to-end, architect right-sized solutions, and collaborate closely with product and the founding team to shape the technical strategy of an AI-powered platform. The team values craft, code quality, and mentoring peers.
Required: 5+ years of professional development shipping production code; experience with LLMs and generative AI; strong backend capabilities; cloud infrastructure experience (GCP, AWS, or Azure); proficiency in TypeScript or Python; ability to debug distributed systems; and a Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent. You must be able to work on-site in Seattle 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).
Extra credit: speech/audio processing, NoSQL databases, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform experience.
