Salary: USD 173,000 - 255,000 / annual

The Partner Merchant Interfaces - Integration team within Decisions Foundations is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work on the APIs that power partner and merchant integrations with Affirm, including top partners like Amazon and Stripe. You will contribute to backend systems at scale, working collaboratively with your team and stakeholders to design, develop, and launch robust solutions. Your responsibilities include balancing speed and quality to meet business goals while maintaining system reliability, navigating large codebases, debugging complex issues, and providing constructive code reviews. You will take ownership of your growth, proactively seeking feedback and demonstrating strong communication skills across a global engineering team. The role requires expertise in backend system design and development using Python or Kotlin, with solid understanding of distributed systems architecture. You should be comfortable with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes technologies. You will transform business scenarios into solutions that interact seamlessly with multiple software components, writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code. A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience is required. Affirm is remote-first, allowing you to work from almost anywhere within the US.
