Perry Weather is a fast-growing weather safety platform trusted by thousands of organizations including school districts, cities, universities, golf courses, and construction companies across North America. The platform combines software and connected hardware to enable rapid decision-making during weather disruptions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join a small but growing engineering team working across the full stack: React web dashboard, React Native mobile app, .NET backend services, and real-time weather processing infrastructure. This is a genuinely full-stack role where you'll own features from customer-facing interfaces down to field-deployed hardware. You'll work with weather APIs, process hundreds of thousands of lightning strikes daily, build and maintain .NET services on Linux in Kubernetes/Azure environments, and coordinate deployments across complex systems. Key responsibilities include developing React and React Native applications, building backend services in .NET, working with Docker and Kubernetes, learning how software interacts with proprietary hardware and firmware, improving infrastructure, and using AI coding agents as part of daily development. Required qualifications: 7+ years shipping production software with ownership across frontend and backend; substantial React/TypeScript application experience including state management and performance optimization; backend depth in a statically typed language (C#/.NET preferred, Java/Go/Kotlin transferable); production service operations experience including deployment, monitoring, and debugging under load; real-time/event-driven systems experience with understanding of backpressure and data delivery guarantees; strong testing practices; and fluency with AI-native engineering tools and agentic workflows including the ability to review and validate generated code. Strong pluses include React Native, embedded/IoT, geospatial/mapping work, weather data experience, and multi-tenant auth design. The company has achieved 80%+ annual growth for five straight years and operates from the Dallas Oak Lawn neighborhood with a full in-office team (M–F). Comprehensive benefits include competitive health insurance, 401(k) matching, and a collaborative culture.
