Salary: USD 165,000 - 185,000 / annual
Moov is a developer-first fintech platform empowering creators to embed payments and financial functionality into software. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll design and build next-generation financial products and services that power the Moov platform.
Key responsibilities include:
- Architect and develop production services using Go, microservices, databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Create APIs and tooling to support products and services
- Mentor fellow engineers and share expertise across teams
- Own the full release lifecycle from feature development through deployment
- Collaborate with product, business development, and leadership on complex problem-solving
- Reproduce and resolve customer issues with Moov's tools
- Contribute to system documentation and engineering standards
- Guide AI agents to produce high-quality, maintainable, production-ready code using Moov's agentic toolset
- Ensure AI-generated code meets strict engineering guidelines including telemetry, error handling, and test-first design
You bring:
- Proven experience building and planning production systems independently
- Strong background developing complex software in Go
- Deep understanding of microserviced architectures
- Experience using AI tools for spec-driven development and the discipline to treat AI as a tool requiring proper context and specifications
- Fintech or payments industry experience
- Ability to design elegant solutions to complex problems
- Rapid diagnostic and problem-solving skills in high-availability environments
- High adaptability to shifting priorities
Bonus qualifications include knowledge of ISO fintech/payments specifications, database optimization expertise, risk/compliance understanding, OSS community participation, and nuanced perspective on AI's benefits and limitations.
Modern tech stack: Go, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Postgres/AlloyDB/Spanner, HTTP2, JSON, Kafka, microservices architecture.
