ServiceNow is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join its AI Developer Products team in San Diego. You'll build high-quality, scalable, and reusable code for customer-facing AI developer tools, working at the intersection of applied AI, developer experience, and modern web technologies.
In this role, you'll own features end-to-end—from design and implementation through testing and delivery. You'll collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into elegant solutions, mentor colleagues, and help establish engineering best practices around code reviews, unit testing, and architectural patterns. The focus is on creating simple, extensible products that let customers customize functionality to their needs.
You'll contribute to both new product development and enhancement of the existing suite, with a strong emphasis on reusability, componentization, and performance at scale. The team values knowledge-sharing and collaborative problem-solving.
Required qualifications include 4+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js experience, with Java as a plus. You should have hands-on experience with modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue), solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, OOP, and design patterns, and demonstrated ability to think critically about integrating AI into workflows and decision-making. You'll bring analytical and design skills, plus a passion for JavaScript and the web platform.
