Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing remote cybersecurity company that delivers autonomous pentests and security assessments at scale through its NodeZero platform. The platform is used by IT Ops/SecOps teams, consulting pentesters, and managed security service providers across organizations from educational institutions to Global 100 enterprises. The Senior Social Media Manager will own the day-to-day execution and strategic development of Horizon3's social media program. This role combines editorial judgment, hands-on content creation, campaign execution, employee advocacy, community engagement, and performance-driven optimization. Key responsibilities include: **Social Strategy & Channel Ownership:** Serve as the subject-matter owner for organic social strategy, advising Marketing and executive leadership on audience development, channel investment, and content priorities. Own and evolve strategy across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and evaluate emerging channels like Reddit and Bluesky. Maintain a clear point of view on audience, channel fit, content formats, cadence, and brand voice. Build and manage an editorial calendar balancing thought leadership, customer proof, research, product storytelling, company news, culture, and hiring. Establish repeatable planning, intake, approval, publishing, and reporting processes. **Content Creation & Storytelling:** Own development, creation, and publication of high-quality social content that translates complex cybersecurity, product, research, and market topics into clear, engaging stories. Develop campaign concepts and content packages across formats including posts, threads, carousels, short-form video, event coverage, and executive amplification. Partner with subject-matter experts to identify stories, ghostwrite or refine content, and manage review through publication. Maintain a distinctive, authentic, confident, and technically credible brand voice. **Campaigns, Launches & Events:** Develop and execute social plans for product launches, press announcements, webinars, campaigns, customer stories, and rapid-response opportunities. Support event promotion and live coverage. Coordinate social amplification with Product Marketing, PR/Communications, Field Marketing, Demand Generation, Customer Marketing, executives, and technical experts. Join initiatives early to shape amplification strategy. **Employee Advocacy & Executive Amplification:** Own and grow the employee advocacy program in Sprout Social Advocacy, including onboarding, enablement, content distribution, and program administration. Create practical, easy-to-share content that helps employees and executives participate authentically. Partner with People, Recruiting, Communications, and leadership teams. **Community Engagement & Brand Stewardship:** Monitor brand and industry conversations through social publishing and listening tools. Respond to routine engagement and route sensitive or crisis-related issues appropriately. Apply sound judgment about what should be amplified, what requires review, and what should not be socialized. Help protect brand consistency and ensure content follows naming, messaging, and visual standards. **Measurement & Optimization:** Define and maintain a practical social measurement framework covering reach, engagement, audience growth, content performance, advocacy participation, and campaign impact. Produce regular reporting that turns performance data into clear insights and recommendations. Test content formats, creative approaches, publishing patterns, and channel strategies. Conduct periodic competitive and market reviews. Success metrics include: a clear, differentiated social strategy adopted across priority channels; consistent reflection of Horizon3's technical credibility and market point of view; repeatable, measurable employee advocacy and executive amplification programs; improved audience growth, reach, engagement quality, and share of voice; earlier social integration into launches and campaigns; reporting that connects social performance to campaign engagement and influenced pipeline; and operation through reusable processes rather than individual heroics. Travel: Up to 20% may be required. **Requirements:** - Demonstrated experience owning social media strategy and hands-on execution for a B2B, SaaS, technology, or cybersecurity company - Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with ability to make technical subjects understandable without losing substance or credibility - Experience managing social publishing, listening, analytics, and/or employee advocacy platforms - Strong project management and organizational skills, including experience managing calendars, approvals, deadlines, and multiple stakeholders - Data-informed approach to content decisions, with ability to interpret performance metrics and turn them into action - Strong judgment, attention to detail, and comfort handling fast-moving or sensitive communications - Ability to work independently while building trusted relationships across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, People, and executive teams - High-agency, creative, collaborative mindset with willingness to test, learn, and improve - Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field - 7+ years of experience in social media marketing - 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity marketing **Preferred qualifications:** - Experience marketing cybersecurity, offensive security, cloud security, developer tools, or other technical products - Familiarity with technical communities, practitioner audiences, Reddit, or other discussion-based platforms - Experience creating or directing short-form video, live event coverage, social graphics, or carousel content - Experience supporting executive social media, creator or influencer partnerships, paid social, or analyst and media amplification - Experience scaling employee advocacy or ambassador programs
