Artiva Biotherapeutics, a clinical-stage biotech company, is seeking a Senior Scientist I/II to lead translational assay oversight and biomarker analysis supporting ongoing clinical trials for NK cell-based therapies in autoimmune diseases. The role bridges translational science and clinical development, focusing on pharmacodynamic and predictive biomarker identification associated with NK cell-mediated clinical response.
Key responsibilities include developing and conducting cell-based assays (immunophenotyping, cytotoxicity, immune cell proliferation, serum cytokine/chemokine analysis), performing quality control of flow cytometry data including panel QC checks and compensation controls, and supporting clinical biospecimen characterization and data analysis. You will work cross-functionally with the Translational team, Clinical Operations, and Clinical Development to support biomarker strategy, sample logistics, and interpretation of clinical trial data. Additional duties include processing human clinical samples, presenting findings at scientific conferences, contributing to peer-reviewed manuscript preparation, and ensuring compliance with protocols, SOPs, and laboratory procedures.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of post-PhD experience (or 10+ years with MS) in biotechnology/pharma, with strong expertise in multi-parameter flow cytometry, immune cell functional assays, and human immunology. Prior translational science experience supporting clinical trials is strongly preferred, with direct involvement in biomarker sample analysis, clinical data reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. A background in B-cell immunology and autoimmunity experience are highly desirable. You should demonstrate strong understanding of drug development, ability to work independently and collaboratively, meticulous attention to data quality, and excellent communication skills.
