As a Data Engineer III, you'll join the Engineering team with high ownership of critical data infrastructure. You'll build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines powering the business, define and construct abstracted reusable datasets for Business Intelligence, Marketing, and Data Science teams, and design a federated data validation framework to monitor data inconsistencies. You'll also ensure user privacy and security through best practices.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software/data engineering experience with distributed data processing, data warehousing, data governance, and Big Data concepts. You should have expertise in SQL and Python, with proven ability to build scalable data pipelines, optimize queries, and design data models. Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow preferred), databases (PostgreSQL), and data warehouses (Snowflake) is essential. Familiarity with SQL tuning, medallion/event-driven architectures, telemetry, healthcare/insurance domains, and HIPAA compliance is valued.
You'll work on problems at the intersection of AI and systemic healthcare reform with real ownership and autonomy alongside exceptional, mission-driven people. The tech stack includes Postgres/SQL, Snowflake, Python, AWS, Terraform, Argo, Airflow, Spark, DuckDB, Iceberg, Airbyte, DBT, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry, and Looker.
This role is based in the New York City office with a hybrid requirement of 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-office). The company is unable to sponsor or take over employment visa sponsorship at this time.
