The company is transforming drug discovery by enabling creation of medicines against historically hard-to-drug targets. As a Senior Scientist in Biology, you will join the Biology & Pharmacology department in a hands-on research role focused on inflammation and immunology. You will drive preclinical programs by designing, executing, and analyzing in vitro and in vivo studies that explore disease biology, target validation, and lead candidate development. Key responsibilities include: - Designing and executing preclinical studies to investigate disease mechanisms and evaluate therapeutic candidates - Working with primary human and mouse immune cells, including ex vivo tissue systems - Dissociating tissues into single-cell suspensions and establishing tissue cultures for functional and phenotyping assays - Conducting immune profiling using high-parameter flow cytometry (15+ colors) and molecular tools (ELISA, MSD, Luminex, qPCR, RNAseq) - Performing functional assays including antigen presentation, immune cell activation, differentiation, proliferation, suppression, and migration studies - Identifying knowledge gaps and asking critical mechanistic questions to guide program direction - Translating experimental data into actionable insights and communicating findings to cross-functional teams You will have a PhD in Immunology or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience. You should have a strong track record of first-author publications and presentations, hands-on expertise with primary immune cells, and advanced flow cytometry skills including high-parameter panel design and data analysis. You must be able to independently plan, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret experiments, and you should be excited about employing AI tools in your daily work. Strong organizational skills, precise record-keeping, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment are essential.
