Oura is seeking a Senior Science Program Manager to architect and lead the company's international scientific and clinical research portfolio, with initial focus on the United Arab Emirates. This is a remote role based in the US with a strong preference for East Coast candidates (Eastern Time zone).
You will orchestrate a strategic research portfolio by defining governance frameworks and roadmaps that align all studies and collaborations with Oura's evidence-based growth objectives. You'll establish rigorous, compliant research delivery processes and evolve operational systems to support scalable, high-quality scientific output as the company grows.
Serving as a strategic hub, you will architect cross-functional integration between Health Science, Product, Regulatory, and external global partners. You'll translate complex scientific goals into actionable business strategies and influence key decision-making across the organization.
You will own the strategic dissemination plan for research milestones—including publications, abstracts, and clinical validation—ensuring findings support brand authority and regulatory trajectory. You'll proactively identify and cultivate high-impact research partnerships in the region, managing external CROs and academic collaborators as extensions of Oura's scientific vision.
Travel to the UAE and other regional locations (approximately 10-15% annually) is required to form trusted collaborative relationships with hospital systems, government entities, and academic/scientific partners.
Required: 6+ years of program or project management in scientific, clinical, or health research with end-to-end study ownership. Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in health, life sciences, or related field (or equivalent). Strong knowledge of human and clinical research study lifecycle (protocol design, IRB/ethics, data collection, closure). Experience directing complex cross-functional work across multiple internal teams and external partners, ideally across regions and time zones. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred: prior experience with research initiatives in the UAE; Arabic proficiency (spoken and written).
