Salary: EUR 115,000 - 150,000 / annual
Checkly is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive customer success and expand market reach across Europe. You'll work with engineering teams at leading companies (Vercel, CrowdStrike, 1Password, Airbus, Mistral, ServiceNow, Fastly) to demonstrate and implement Checkly's active reliability platform—a unified solution combining testing, synthetic monitoring, and observability with AI-native workflows.
In this role, you'll own the technical evaluation process from initial demo through successful implementation. You'll become an expert in Checkly and the monitoring space, helping customers solve real problems while driving the Monitoring as Code revolution. You'll work across pre- and post-sales, speaking directly with customers and sharing learnings with Product and Engineering to shape the platform's evolution.
You'll assist in improving technical documentation, processes, and policies. During onboarding, you'll spend time in Customer Support to deeply understand the platform and customer needs, then contribute to support on an as-needed basis.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Customer Solutions, or Forward Deployed Engineer roles, ideally at dev-tools SaaS companies. Strong technical skills are essential—you should be comfortable reading, writing, and debugging code (JavaScript/Node.js preferred). Experience with observability, monitoring, or testing is preferred. You'll leverage AI tools (Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate customer-facing work: researching environments, generating demo code, and building proof-of-concept repos.
You're autonomous and self-motivated in remote-first environments, with exceptional empathy and curiosity. You take pride in customer success and have a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset. Excellent English communication (spoken and written) is required. You must be located in Europe within UTC+1 to UTC+2 time zones.
