AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Risk & Governance Engineer to lead the company's investment in GRC automation and engineering. You will design and build technical automation that powers compliance testing, evidence collection, risk monitoring, and GRC platform integrations. A key part of this role is owning the governance architecture for how AI and agentic systems are built and deployed across AlphaSense.
You will sit at the intersection of security engineering and compliance operations. The role requires deep practical experience with AI—using LLMs and agents for substantive work including analysis, drafting, automation, and investigation. You will apply rigorous judgment about where AI creates leverage, where it introduces risk, and where humans must remain in the loop.
Key responsibilities include: designing and maintaining automated compliance testing pipelines that continuously validate control adherence across cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, and internal systems; owning technical configuration and integration of the GRC platform (Drata or equivalent); developing AI-assisted workflows for evidence summarization, control narrative drafting, risk analysis, and policy gap detection; defining the governance framework for AlphaSense's AI and agentic systems; and building policy-as-code infrastructure with version control and peer review.
The goal is continuous compliance infrastructure that generates its own proof, rather than a compliance team that sprints to collect evidence before each audit cycle. AlphaSense is building a GRC engineering function that represents what the industry will eventually need: automated, AI-native, and architected like a product rather than operated like a process. The company is headquartered in New York with over 2,000 employees globally, trusted by over 6,000 enterprise customers including a majority of the S&P 500.
