JumpCloud is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its finance team in India. This is a remote role focused on revenue accounting for a B2B SaaS company.
You will be responsible for reviewing B2B SaaS sales contracts to ensure 100% compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards. Key responsibilities include executing sales orders and billing transactions, applying revenue recognition policies to complex contracts, and maintaining near-zero error rates in revenue-related transactions and reconciliations.
You will develop and execute reconciliations, complete revenue-related close tasks within established deadlines, and produce accurate monthly revenue reports for management. Additional duties include preparing monthly revenue and reclassification journal entries, conducting monthly revenue flux analysis, and identifying miscellaneous revenue adjustments.
The role requires proactive identification and implementation of controls within the Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) process, with a focus on automation and process efficiency. You will maintain transaction support records in audit-ready condition, coordinate with auditors, and assist in ensuring SOX compliance for revenue-related controls.
You will demonstrate proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) and NetSuite, including the Advanced Revenue Module (ARM), to extract data and trace revenue transactions from transaction documents to the general ledger. You will also identify and troubleshoot system-related revenue accounting issues.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential. You will build strong working relationships with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Legal, and other departments, effectively communicating revenue accounting requirements to non-financial stakeholders and working with sales teams to ensure contracts support scalable processing.
You will identify and assist in implementing process improvements, particularly automation and AI-enabled processes, develop and maintain documentation on revenue accounting policies and procedures, and provide insightful analysis of revenue trends and variances.
Requirements:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or similar certification preferred
- 3–5 years of revenue recognition exposure in a SaaS company (preferably B2B), OR 2–4 years of Big 4 public accounting experience with SaaS engagements
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce CPQ a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability from both accounting and system perspectives
- Self-motivated with ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

- Fluent English (required for interviews and internal business conducted in English)
