LaunchDarkly is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to play a critical role in ensuring accurate revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 606. This position will leverage AI-driven automation to enhance process efficiency and scalability while managing revenue-related tasks for month-end close procedures.
Key responsibilities include supporting the monthly revenue close process with journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules; performing ASC 606 contract reviews for new and existing customer arrangements; evaluating complex or non-standard contract terms including usage-based pricing, committed spend, minimum commitments, credits, discounts, and contract modifications; maintaining and reconciling revenue schedules across revenue, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and customer credits; developing and maintaining revenue accounting workbooks with clear audit trails from customer contracts through the general ledger; partnering with Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and Finance on new products and pricing models to identify accounting implications; supporting the assessment and operationalization of new products and SKUs; supporting external audits by preparing schedules and responding to inquiries; identifying opportunities to improve and automate revenue accounting processes and controls; partnering with system administrators to improve integration among CRM, billing, usage, and ERP systems; and supporting development of scalable revenue accounting policies as the company evolves.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8+ years of relevant accounting experience, including meaningful experience with SaaS revenue recognition
- CPA or equivalent (required)
- Experience in public accounting (required); Big 4 preferred
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 with experience evaluating customer contracts and revenue arrangements
- Experience with SaaS, cloud infrastructure, AI, technology, or consumption-based business models (strongly preferred)
- Experience working with large datasets and reconciling information across multiple systems
- Experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, or other major ERP and CRM systems (preferred)
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Strong communication skills
