Fireworks is a Series D AI infrastructure platform (valued at $17.5B) backed by NVIDIA, Sequoia, Benchmark, and others. The company enables enterprises to build, train, and serve specialized AI models tailored to their data and workflows.
As Senior Revenue Accountant, you will own and scale Fireworks' end-to-end revenue accounting function during a critical growth phase. This is a hands-on, technical role requiring deep expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition, particularly for complex SaaS and consumption-based models.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead monthly revenue close processes: journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Perform detailed ASC 606 contract reviews for new and existing customer arrangements
- Evaluate complex commercial terms: usage-based pricing, committed spend, minimum commitments, credits, discounts, contract modifications, and renewals
- Maintain and reconcile revenue schedules across revenue, AR, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and customer credits
- Reconcile revenue recognition data to billing, usage, contract, and GL data; investigate discrepancies
- Develop and maintain revenue accounting workbooks with clear audit trails from contracts through GL
- Partner with Billing, Revenue Operations, Sales, Legal, Deal Desk, and Finance on new products, pricing models, and commercial terms
- Support assessment and operationalization of new products and SKUs
- Prepare technical accounting memos for significant or complex conclusions
- Support external audits with schedules, contract samples, and auditor responses
- Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and control revenue accounting processes
- Partner with systems teams to improve integration and data flow among CRM, billing, usage, and ERP systems
- Help design and maintain effective internal controls over revenue recognition
- Support development of scalable revenue accounting policies as the company evolves
You will build a revenue accounting function that is accurate, scalable, auditable, and closely connected to business operations—enabling the company to launch new products and pricing models without creating unnecessary accounting complexity.
