Deliveroo, a rapidly growing three-sided marketplace now part of DoorDash, is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to join its London-based Finance team. Reporting to the International Controller, you will lead day-to-day general ledger and accounting operations while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB standards, and SOX internal controls.
Key responsibilities include managing full-cycle financial close processes, reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, and driving process improvement and automation initiatives to streamline monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles. You will integrate general ledger accounting operations to align with global processes across the organization and act as a key decision-maker in developing accounting policies, standard operating procedures, and monthly variance analysis in partnership with FP&A and Financial Reporting teams.
You will manage and develop accounting staff, ensuring robust internal controls and partnering with cross-functional leaders to maintain pace within a fast-growing company. Required qualifications include extensive public company accounting experience in a relevant industry with proven staff management capabilities, strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB standards, and SOX controls, a proven track record managing full-cycle financial close processes, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, ACA/ACCA/CPA qualification, or equivalent professional experience. Experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, Coupa, and GSuite is a plus.
