Catawiki is a curated online marketplace for special and collectible objects, auctioning over 100,000 unique items weekly across 80+ categories. As Accounting & Reporting Manager, you will lead the accounting and reporting function to ensure accurate, timely, and IFRS-compliant financial reporting as the company scales.
You will manage the month-end close process, delivering monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the Management Team, Executive Board, and investors. You'll ensure compliance with Dutch and international accounting regulations, managing relationships with local accountants and external auditors. A key responsibility is improving financial processes, reporting systems, and internal controls to support efficient and accurate reporting in a growing organization.
You will lead and develop the Accounting & Reporting team, building capabilities in a continuously changing environment. You'll partner with cross-functional stakeholders—HR, Tech, and other departments—to ensure financial implications of new business initiatives are properly captured and accounted for. The role combines hands-on execution with strategic thinking, requiring you to move between pragmatic problem-solving and conceptual process improvement.
Required qualifications include an academic degree in accounting plus an RA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification. You need at least 8 years of experience in financial control and accounting within international companies or Big Four firms, with strong IFRS knowledge. Leadership experience developing teams and strengthening finance functions is essential. You must have excellent English communication skills, a hands-on and flexible working style, and proven ability to use automation and AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation.
This is a hybrid role based in Amsterdam, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. Catawiki operates with a flat structure where every role has broad scope and direct impact on customers and business outcomes.
