As Senior Revenue Accountant, you'll be a key member of the Revenue Accounting team, responsible for ensuring accurate revenue recognition under ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP across Cart.com's diverse business lines (fulfillment, services, commerce solutions). This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring deep expertise in complex revenue scenarios.
Key responsibilities include: reviewing customer contracts and determining revenue recognition treatment; preparing technical accounting memos; executing month-end close activities, reconciliations, and variance analysis; supporting contract asset, deferred revenue, and contract liability accounting; partnering cross-functionally to resolve revenue-impacting issues; supporting Merchant of Record accounting; driving process improvements and internal controls; and supporting external audits.

You're detail-oriented, naturally curious, and can independently investigate issues and develop solutions. You communicate technical accounting concepts effectively to non-accounting audiences and continuously seek process improvements.
Required: 5–8+ years progressive accounting experience with significant revenue accounting focus; strong ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP knowledge; experience reviewing customer contracts and documenting conclusions for complex arrangements; demonstrated audit support in public accounting and/or corporate environments; strong audit background; proficiency with journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close deliverables; advanced Excel skills; Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred. Public accounting experience (Big Four or large regional firm) strongly preferred.
Nice-to-haves: eCommerce, marketplace, logistics, fulfillment, SaaS, or technology-enabled services experience; multiple revenue streams or complex customer arrangements; Business Central (Dynamics 365) or similar ERP systems; process transformation or accounting automation initiatives; IPO readiness, private equity, or high-growth environment experience.
