AlphaSense is a market intelligence platform trusted by over 6,000 enterprise customers, including a majority of the S&P 500. The company combines AI-driven search with public and private content (equity research, company filings, event transcripts, expert calls, news) to help sophisticated organizations remove uncertainty from decision-making. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in NYC with 2,000+ employees globally, AlphaSense acquired Tegus in 2024 to expand its product and content capabilities. The Revenue Accounting team ensures financial integrity while enabling business scaling. This Senior Revenue Accountant role reports to the Manager of Revenue Accounting and is central to supporting AlphaSense's journey toward becoming a public company. You will review customer contracts, order forms, amendments, and renewals to ensure ASC 606 compliance and appropriate revenue recognition treatment. You'll evaluate non-standard contract terms in partnership with Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal, and analyze revenue implications of subscription, usage-based, and consumption-based pricing models. Key responsibilities include preparing revenue compliance checklists, supporting monthly close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, management reporting), and performing detailed analyses of revenue, deferred revenue, and related balance sheet accounts. You'll partner across Billing, Revenue Operations, Order Processing, Customer Success, and Deal Desk to ensure accurate data flow through the Order-to-Cash process. You'll support new product launches, pricing initiatives, and system enhancements by evaluating revenue accounting implications. A significant focus is identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen internal controls, and leverage automation for scalability, including enhancements to NetSuite, Salesforce, CPQ, and other revenue systems. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and industry mix preferred), strong ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition expertise, and experience with subscription and usage-based pricing models. NetSuite and Salesforce experience is required; Salesforce CPQ, billing platforms, or revenue automation tools are a plus. Big Four or regional public accounting experience and CPA/CPA candidate status are preferred. You should be analytical, comfortable with large datasets and Excel, and able to partner effectively across functions.
