As Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager for Hong Kong, you will lead regulatory engagement strategy and manage compliance programs for payment services, securities, asset management, and money remittance licenses in the region. You'll report to the Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance, Asia (Singapore-based) and serve as the primary point of contact with Hong Kong regulators including CED, SFC, and HKMA.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing license authorization processes and regulatory compliance components for regional expansion
- Acting as primary stakeholder with regulators on license applications, business plan updates, and information requests
- Maintaining regulatory compliance and integrity risk reporting obligations
- Advising the business on regulatory change initiatives and new laws
- Developing policies and processes for regulatory risk management
- Managing compliance risk within the Risk Management Framework and Group Risk Committee escalation
- Advising on conduct risk and ethics matters related to financial services licenses
- Delivering the Compliance Monitoring Program with targeted reviews
- Conducting compliance training for employees and business areas
- Leading strategic projects to unlock business and operational issues
You'll need a bachelor's degree and minimum 6 years of compliance experience in regulated financial institutions, fintech, or legal/consulting firms. Deep familiarity with Hong Kong financial regulatory laws is essential, particularly MSO licensing, SFO, SFC guidelines, and PSSVFO. You should be data-proficient, strategic, and creative in solving complex compliance challenges in a fast-moving environment.
