Salary: USD 140,000 - 185,000 / annual

Tive is a supply-chain visibility company that uses IoT hardware and software to reduce shipment delays, minimize rejected loads, and decrease theft, damage, and spoilage across road, rail, ocean, and air logistics. As Senior Regulatory Compliance Engineer, you will own global regulatory compliance for all Tive hardware products, ensuring every product can be legally sold and used in every market the company serves. This is a strategic individual contributor role with broad scope across product certifications, compliance strategy, and cross-functional partnerships. Key responsibilities include: • Own all product certifications worldwide: radio, EMC, safety, telecom type approvals, and carrier certifications • Lead compliance for new products through NPI (new product introduction), from defining requirements to certification sign-off before launch • Work with hardware and RF engineering teams on design-for-compliance, including pre-scans, antenna design, and RF debugging to ensure products meet regulatory requirements on the first pass • Maintain ongoing compliance through certificate renewals, re-certification after product changes, and tracking of new regulations • Own battery, lithium, and dangerous goods compliance, including airline approvals • Manage environmental and labeling requirements such as RoHS, REACH, WEEE, and regulatory markings • Manage relationships with test labs, certification bodies, and in-country representatives; oversee certification budget • Maintain global compliance tracker and customer-facing certificates • Serve as go-to regulatory expert for Sales, Support, and Operations teams • Partner with Trade Compliance to align product approvals, markings, and import documents with customs and export requirements • Coordinate with external third-party test labs on test plans, quotations, schedules, samples, and re-testing • Prepare, review, and submit technical filings for regional regulatory approvals (FCC, ISED, RED/CE, MIC) • Support hardware engineers in debugging certification failures and driving root-cause analysis • Maintain Declaration of Conformity records and compliance summaries for production clearance Requirements: • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent • 5+ years in global regulatory compliance for wireless, cellular, and battery-powered hardware
