Salary: USD 47.6 - 62.5 / hourly

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced autonomous systems, AI, and sensor fusion technology. The Core Technology team develops the shared electromechanical systems, drive systems, propulsion, actuation, and embedded electronics that power Anduril's autonomous platforms. You will join as a Senior Quality Specialist, responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and proposing corrective measures to ensure products meet established quality standards. This role is embedded within the manufacturing process and requires strong ownership and execution in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include: - Managing the Materials Review Board (MRB) process and site-level quality decisions - Actively supporting resolution, containment, and improvement of nonconforming materials - Reviewing manufacturing work instructions and providing feedback to inspectors - Leading containment execution for nonconforming items and conducting root cause analysis - Managing internal triage with engineering teams on nonconformance dispositions - Ensuring accurate data collection and reporting MRB metrics weekly - Executing vendor return material authorization (RMA) processes - Creating and implementing inspection plans for incoming material, in-process, and end-of-line inspection - Training technicians and inspectors on inspection procedures and data capture - Developing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures - Proposing continuous improvement projects for productivity and quality gains - Performing internal audits on processes and procedures - Conducting deep-dive data and traceability investigations to identify trends and process variations - Staying current with inspection technologies and recommending process improvements Requirements: - Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience - 5+ years in manufacturing and/or quality/engineering-related roles - Experience in manufacturing environments supporting hardware development and quality management - Proficiency with CAD software and inspection data management software - Experience with calibrated equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, Faro arm, OMM, etc.) - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wire diagrams, work instructions, and CAD - Experience with investigative equipment such as x-ray inspection and digital characterization - Experience in facilities with AS9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality management standards - Experience with validation and testing of assemblies and components - Experience communicating with suppliers and cross-functional teams - Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance - Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred qualifications include technical or associate degree in quality/mechanical/aerospace engineering, direct First Article Inspection experience, ASQ certifications (Certified Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate) or IPC certifications (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620), experience in low-rate production manufacturing, knowledge of GD&T, experience with electrical and electronic component inspection, familiarity with manufacturing systems (Jira, MES, ERP, Teamcenter), and experience auditing manufacturing processes.
