Salary: USD 155,000 - 220,000 / annual

Muon Space, a LEO satellite constellation provider founded in 2021, seeks a Senior Program Manager for its Microwave Program. This role leads the end-to-end delivery of microwave-based solutions and products for U.S. Government and commercial customers, managing cost and schedule baselines while serving as a key member of the Mission Engineering team. You will drive day-to-day execution of multidisciplinary aerospace development efforts, engaging internal and external stakeholders to plan and coordinate resources. Responsibilities include synchronizing diverse technical teams through tools, processes, and practices; participating in technical discussions to scope solutions and manage issues; tracking program metrics across schedule, resources, cost, risk, and technical performance; and serving as the company's primary interface with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. You will also support business development through proposals, RFI responses, and organic growth on existing contracts. The role is hybrid, based in San Jose with 3 days per week in-office, though remote work from approved locations is possible. You will be responsible for ensuring successful execution of contracts, delivering high-quality products on time and on budget while meeting all contractual obligations. QUALIFICATIONS: - 5+ years of relevant program management experience - B.S. in an engineering discipline (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) - Proven track record of successfully delivering complete systems (hardware, firmware, software, algorithms) on time, to scope, with high quality - Experience in development and/or program management of satellite-based systems - Ability to instantiate and manage integrated master schedules - Expertise in modern, cloud-based productivity tools - Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with ability to work across all engineering disciplines - Experience in vendor and contract management NICE-TO-HAVE: - System engineering and inter-discipline technical trade study experience - Experience in fast-paced, startup environments - Experience managing and growing teams - Experience with microwave instruments Note: This position requires access to export-controlled information and ITAR/EAR compliance.
