CaptivateIQ is a Series C sales compensation automation platform. The Professional Services team partners with customers post-sale to implement their sales compensation programs end-to-end.
You will lead full-cycle implementations for customers, moving fluidly between client meetings and hands-on configuration work. You'll own project timelines and customer expectations throughout the engagement, from initial business requirements and compensation plan design through data structure, system build-out, configuration, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live. You'll serve as the primary client-facing point of contact, building trust with customer admin teams and ensuring a clean handoff to Customer Success at launch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end CaptivateIQ implementations across multiple concurrent customer projects
- Design system configurations that maximize modeling efficiency and repeatability for each customer's comp plan
- Own project timelines, prioritize work, and manage expectations with customers and internal stakeholders
- Serve as primary client contact, building trust with customer admin teams
- Scope new implementation and post-implementation services; support related negotiations
- Lead handoff to Customer Success at go-live
- Become an expert in CaptivateIQ and sales commission structures, applying best-practice design across plan types
- Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Sales teams
- Proactively identify and escalate project or account risks
- Maintain billable utilization targets while balancing active work with team initiatives
- Define and adopt team best practices to raise delivery quality
Requirements:
- Background in sales compensation (as a consultant, or as an in-house administrator/practitioner using a comp tool)
- 6+ years of experience as a consultant or implementation professional, with demonstrated project leadership
- Strong grasp of data modeling, formulas, and spreadsheet/database tools (Excel or similar); comfort with object-oriented and relational data concepts
- Excellent time management; able to move seamlessly between client meetings and hands-on build work across multiple engagements
- Friendly, obsessively customer-focused, and service-oriented with strong problem-solving instincts
- Strong communication, analytical, and collaboration skills; comfortable working independently while knowing when to seek guidance
- Startup mindset; comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-changing environment
- Background at a SaaS/technology company
Nice to have: SQL experience, AI implementation experience, experience with CaptivateIQ or competitor sales compensation software (Xactly, Varicent, SAP Commissions), proficiency with CRMs (Salesforce) or ERPs (NetSuite).
