Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Product Test Engineer to lead manufacturing test operations at their Ohio facility. This role owns the manufacturing test strategy and coverage across product development, new product introduction (NPI), and production phases. You will drive improvements in test architecture, automation, scalability, and production readiness while designing, integrating, troubleshooting, and sustaining automated manufacturing test systems that combine instrumentation, fixtures, custom electronics, and software.
As the primary Product Test Engineering representative at the Ohio manufacturing site, you will operate with significant autonomy, making technical decisions and supporting manufacturing operations with minimal day-to-day supervision. You will independently prioritize and execute multiple manufacturing test initiatives while collaborating across Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations teams. Key responsibilities include leading manufacturing test deployments, factory bring-up, and sustainment activities at both internal and contract manufacturing sites, as well as mentoring technicians and providing technical guidance to future Product Test Engineers as the Ohio team expands.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, plus 7+ years of experience developing, deploying, or sustaining automated manufacturing test systems for electronic products. You must have hands-on experience with contract manufacturers in PCBA and electronic assembly testing, proficiency in LabVIEW for automated test applications, and familiarity with standard electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, data acquisition systems). Strong root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including analog/digital circuits, power electronics, and signal integrity.
Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of industry experience, a Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, experience with NI TestStand or similar test automation frameworks, exposure to NPI and manufacturing transfer activities, and experience with yield analysis and statistical process control. The role requires up to 25% travel to support manufacturing test integration and commissioning at domestic and international sites. Leadership or people management experience is valued and may lead to future site leadership opportunities.
