Salary: USD 167,000 - 222,000 / annual
Datadog's Product Solutions Architecture (PSA) team seeks a Senior Product Solutions Architect specializing in LLM Observability. This role bridges the gap between Datadog's customers and product teams, serving as a technical multiplier and domain expert.
You will partner with Field teams on complex customer use cases spanning pre- and post-sales engagements. Your responsibilities include designing architectures for LLM-powered applications, implementing observability best practices, and driving adoption of Datadog's LLM Observability product across enterprise customer environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the in-house subject matter expert for LLM Observability
- Provide hands-on technical and architectural guidance to enterprise customers
- Create high-impact technical collateral: reference architectures, technical guides, cookbooks, and documentation
- Build proofs of concept and small-scale deployments to validate solutions
- Act as a trusted advisor to Product Management, delivering actionable feedback from field experience
You bring a strong software engineering foundation with hands-on experience building and operating LLM-powered applications at scale in production. You understand distributed systems and core observability concepts (tracing, metrics, logging) and can translate these patterns into the emerging LLM observability domain, including LLM spans, evaluations, and prompt templates.
Required qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Comfortable operating in rapidly evolving, ambiguous technical domains
- Ability to build deep context across teams and translate it into reusable, scalable solutions
- Strong listening and consultative skills for supporting customers in complex situations
- Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time
Bonus experience includes 5+ years as a Solutions Architect or Sales Engineer in the AI space, hands-on experience with Datadog or other observability tools in SRE/DevOps roles, and familiarity with LLM application evaluation and testing frameworks.
