Chainalysis is the blockchain data platform trusted by governments, banks, and crypto exchanges to investigate financial crime and manage risk. As a Senior Product Security Engineer, you'll be a hands-on security expert embedded in our product and platform engineering teams, responsible for keeping our SaaS platform secure by design.
You'll drive security across multiple product areas, performing threat modeling, design reviews, and penetration testing on our AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure. Key responsibilities include conducting security code reviews for new product launches with custom pentests, providing security guardrails for internal AI platforms and LLM-based coding agents, building security automation into CI/CD pipelines, and participating in an on-call rotation for high-severity production incidents.
You'll work at the intersection of blockchain data, AI, and security—a unique space where you can apply deep application security expertise to emerging technology challenges. The role requires strong production coding ability (Java, TypeScript, Python, or Go) to perform deep code reviews, write proof-of-concept exploits, and contribute fixes directly into product repositories.
Required experience includes 5+ years in application security engineering, hands-on penetration testing of production SaaS applications, expertise in OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and experience securing AI/LLM platforms with model gateways and prompt/response controls. Nice-to-have skills include Web3/blockchain background and experience building AI workflows and agents.
