Ditto is a venture-backed startup ($145M+ funded) that has built a peer-to-peer sync engine enabling developers to build resilient, real-time applications regardless of network conditions. The platform powers mission-critical experiences at organizations like Chick-fil-A, Delta Airlines, and the U.S. military across aviation, retail, travel, hospitality, and defense sectors.
You will own product marketing for Ditto's Edge Sync Platform, responsible for building and evolving the narrative around edge-native architecture and how it solves connectivity problems across multiple buyer personas and use cases. The role requires developing positioning and messaging frameworks for multiple products (Ditto Edge SDK, Ditto Cloud, Ditto Server, Ditto Propagate, Ditto Apps) grounded in customer research and win/loss evidence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a durable platform narrative that resonates with developers, CIOs, and program officers
- Building product-specific positioning frameworks based on customer research and competitive intelligence
- Running go-to-market end-to-end for product launches, including tiering, positioning, pricing input, asset creation, internal enablement, and 90-day success measurement
- Adapting the platform story into distinct narratives for B2C, B2B, and B2G (public-sector) buyers with appropriate proof points and procurement considerations
- Equipping Sales and Solutions Engineering with pitch narratives, battlecards, demo storylines, and objection handling materials
- Maintaining competitive and market intelligence to inform positioning and roadmap conversations
You will report to the Head of Marketing and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Partnerships teams. Your work will directly impact pitch decks, documentation, RFP responses, and sales conversations.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience positioning technical products for multiple buyer types, with concrete examples of before/after positioning work
- Ability to write effectively for technical audiences (engineers, architects) as well as sales and broader market audiences
- Deep technical comfort with infrastructure concepts including architecture, APIs, SDKs, networking, and distributed systems—able to engage engineers without requiring translation
- Primary research methodology: customer interviews, win/loss analysis, and recorded sales conversation review to ground positions in evidence
- Ability to run cross-functional launches across Product, Engineering, Sales, Support, and Partnerships without direct management authority
- Proficiency with current AI tools and models for automation, ideation, asset creation, and decision-making, combined with judgment about when to avoid over-reliance on AI
Nice-to-haves:
- Developer marketing experience (documentation, SDK onboarding, developer community channels)
- Background in infrastructure, data platforms, mobile tech, edge computing, or IoT; or proven ability to rapidly master hard technical categories
- Experience defining new categories before buyers had framed the problem
- Design range from product pages to sales deck creation
- Public-sector or defense experience (program offices, FedRAMP, ATO processes, procurement cycles)
