Consensys is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for Universal KYC (UKYC) and MetaMask Passport, a foundational identity verification initiative within the MetaMask ecosystem. The role sits at the intersection of platform and product experience, requiring you to define the primitives, standards, and user journeys that make identity verification seamless, privacy-conscious, and globally compliant.
You will own end-to-end execution across multiple dimensions: building the underlying identity platform with scalable verification primitives and standards; designing a low-friction KYC experience that reduces time-to-first-transaction while maintaining compliance integrity; and driving adoption across MetaMask by partnering with internal teams to integrate a consistent identity layer. You will balance privacy, trust, and global regulatory requirements while leading cross-functional alignment and delivering measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings proven experience building or scaling identity verification (IDV), KYC, or onboarding products in fintech, ideally with Web3 exposure. You should have hands-on experience working with identity verification vendors (Sumsub, Veriff, Onfido, Persona, Stripe Identity), familiarity with compliance workflows (KYC, KYB, CDD), and a track record of delivering platform products adopted across multiple teams. You must operate fluently across both technical systems and user experience, with strong product judgment, deep user empathy, and the ability to navigate trade-offs between trust, privacy, and compliance.
Success is measured by increased KYC completion rates, reduced onboarding friction, reduced time-to-first-transaction, increased identity reuse across products, improved transaction success rates, and strong user trust with minimal friction and compliant execution.
