Bitwarden is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Secrets Manager product end-to-end. Secrets Manager is a developer and DevOps-facing platform that helps engineering teams manage secrets, API keys, and infrastructure credentials across CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, infrastructure-as-code workflows, and production services.
The role sits at the intersection of a critical emerging problem: as AI agents become first-class consumers of credentials—calling APIs, provisioning infrastructure, and acting on production systems at machine speed—the identity and access controls built for static service accounts and API keys are insufficient. You will own how Bitwarden solves this for developers, defining how agents authenticate, how credentials get scoped and time-bounded, and what audit trails look like when the actor is a model rather than a person.
You will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Secrets Manager. This includes defining quarterly commitments, making prioritization calls, and being accountable for outcomes. You will work customer-backwards, talking regularly to developers, DevOps engineers, and platform teams to understand how secrets actually move through their systems and how agentic workloads are reaching for credentials today. You will mine GitHub issues, community forums, closed-lost deal data, and support signals to build a defensible point of view on what to build next.
You will write the documents that drive decisions—PRDs, PR/FAQs, and strategy narratives that hold up under scrutiny from executive leadership. You will present this thinking directly to executives, customers, and the board. Strong writing and presenting are core competencies of this role.
You will partner closely with a dedicated Senior Product Owner who runs the backlog and sprint delivery, freeing you to focus on strategy, discovery, positioning, and cross-product coordination. You will own the developer experience across all surfaces: SDKs, CLI, Kubernetes operator, Terraform provider, CI/CD integrations, and platform APIs. You will also coordinate with Bitwarden's Private Access (PAM) and Agentic Innovation workstreams to keep the product line coherent as privileged access, machine identity, and agent access converge.
Finally, you will partner on go-to-market with product marketing, sales, and solutions engineering on positioning, competitive response, pricing and packaging input, and launch readiness.
The team is all-remote with no time zone preference. Bitwarden is headquartered in Santa Barbara, California, and is the trusted identity security leader for millions of users worldwide.
