Salary: USD 150,000 - 178,000 / annual
Boldin is a comprehensive financial planning platform helping people make informed money decisions and plan for retirement with confidence. The company has raised over $20M and is in a pivotal growth phase.
You will own retention and engagement outcomes for PlannerPlus, Boldin's core subscription product. Unlike typical retention roles focused on keeping people subscribed to non-essential services, this role centers on helping subscribers build a planning habit around one of life's biggest financial decisions: retirement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define the metrics framework and identify root causes of churn, then fix them in the product
- Design rituals and return moments that transform a one-time plan into an ongoing planning habit
- Make sophisticated planning capabilities (Roth conversions, withdrawal strategies) accessible to first-time planners
- Conduct customer research across diverse ages, incomes, and financial literacy levels to inform the roadmap
- Run disciplined experiments and cohort analyses to measure impact
- Build retention as a company-wide competency by sharing strategy, data, and wins
In your first 90 days, you'll immerse yourself in the product, data, and subscriber base while shipping your first experiment and publishing the retention metrics framework. By month 6, you'll own a prioritized retention roadmap with early wins shipped and measured. By month 12, retention metrics will be moving and you'll be the company's expert on subscriber retention drivers.
You'll report to the Head of Product and have real end-to-end ownership of the retention function. Boldin has an active community forum with passionate users who unprompted share how the platform changed their retirement planning.
