Redis is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own and evolve the company's document-oriented data capabilities, enabling developers to build JSON-based applications at scale. In this role, you will define the product vision and roadmap for Redis's document data features, identify and prioritize document-centric use cases where Redis delivers strong customer value, and translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements.
You'll work closely with experienced engineers, architects, and customer-facing teams to tackle challenges spanning data modeling, performance, memory efficiency, scalability, and developer experience. You'll gather direct customer feedback through engagement, usage data, and market research, then partner with GTM, sales, and marketing to position Redis's document use cases effectively. You'll also establish relationships with key partners in the document-centric application and data ecosystem to drive joint customer value.
This is a highly visible, deeply technical product area where you'll influence how Redis is used beyond caching while balancing simplicity and flexibility for both open source users and enterprise customers in cloud and self-managed environments.
Required: 5+ years of product management experience in software or enterprise organizations; strong understanding of document-oriented data models and JSON-based application patterns; ability to articulate both high-level concepts and detailed technical requirements; comfort with code and close collaboration with engineers; BSc in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience.
Preferred: experience managing database, infrastructure, or storage products; hands-on experience with document databases (Couchbase, Firestore, Aerospike); experience building developer-centric APIs, SDKs, or tools; prior experience with NoSQL or real-time databases, especially Redis.
