Duolingo is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own product strategy and execution for the Notifications team, one of the company's highest-impact growth initiatives. With a mission to develop the best education in the world and make it universally available, Duolingo serves over half a billion learners globally. In this role, you will lead the product strategy for notifications—a critical driver of retention and engagement. You'll own the full product lifecycle from ideation through iteration, identifying new notification types, improving opt-in and reach, and exploring alternative channels like email to bring learners back to the platform. Key responsibilities include: - Owning product strategy and execution for major notification surfaces - Driving the team's roadmap across high-impact workstreams: new notification types, opt-in/reach optimization, email, and alternative channels - Leading features through their complete lifecycle: ideation, prioritization, specification, development, launch, analysis, and iteration - Collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists, ML/AI specialists, product writers, and designers - Using experimentation and product intuition to uncover opportunities and validate ideas quickly - Improving core metrics (conversion, click-through rate, opt-in) while maintaining user experience guardrails - Exploring new formats, channels, and UX patterns for personalized, engaging notifications - Partnering with leadership to shape the direction of a top-impact team You bring significant experience as a Product Manager on consumer mobile products, with deep expertise in notifications or adjacent lifecycle surfaces. You understand what makes outreach timely, effective, and valuable to users. You've successfully owned notification product strategy end-to-end, including identifying opportunities, prioritizing work, and driving launches. Experience with personalized or ML-driven messaging systems, targeting, ranking, and experimentation is essential. You have strong product instincts, analytical judgment, and the ability to drive alignment independently in ambiguous spaces.
