Pliant is a European fintech specializing in B2B payment solutions with an API-first platform serving over 4,000 businesses globally. As Senior Product Manager for Member Management, you will own the identity, authentication, access, and permissions layer that underpins the entire platform—the trust foundation that becomes increasingly critical as Pliant scales upmarket with banks and larger partners.
Your scope spans authentication mechanisms (passkeys, eIDs, enterprise IDPs, SSO), the permissions and entitlements model, the complete member lifecycle (joiners, movers, leavers), and multi-tenant, multi-region identity infrastructure for partners and banks. The core challenge is balancing bank-grade security with a simple, frictionless access experience for end users and, increasingly, AI agents.
Key responsibilities include: owning strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Member Management domain; advancing passwordless and adaptive authentication; building multi-tenant, multi-region identity that enables partners and banks to launch quickly; automating the full member lifecycle through HRIS sync and just-in-time provisioning; collaborating with Security, Compliance, and Engineering to meet the authentication and audit standards required by regulated institutions; designing the permissions model that other Pliant teams depend on; and preparing the platform for AI agents as governed members with verifiable identity, scoped permissions, and full audit trails.
You bring 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, fintech, identity/security, or platform-heavy environments. You have hands-on experience with identity and access concepts—authentication flows, SSO, IDPs, RBAC, provisioning—or a strong drive to master the domain. You are technically fluent, comfortable discussing auth architecture and system-design trade-offs with engineers. You thrive in ambiguity, create structure, and make sound decisions with incomplete information. Familiarity with fintech compliance (PSD2) and experience coordinating with enterprise stakeholders and partner banks is a strong plus. You communicate clearly across functions, take high ownership, and bias toward action. Fluent English required; additional languages valued.
