Salient builds AI agents for regulated financial services, automating loan servicing, compliance, collections, recovery, insurance claims, and disputes for banks and specialty lenders. The company is backed by a16z and Y Combinator with $75M in Series A funding, is cash flow positive with mid-eight-figure ARR, and already serves over 20% of the auto lending industry while processing millions of real customer calls and transactions daily.
As a Senior Product Manager on Marshall (Salient's core product platform), you will own one or more product areas end to end, working directly with engineering, design, implementation, customers, and company leadership. Your scope will reflect the needs of each area: a large 0-to-1 platform or workflow may require your full attention, while mature or closely related products may be owned together. Your portfolio may evolve as products mature and the PM team expands.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning one or more major product areas within Marshall, sized to their complexity, maturity, and customer needs
- Expanding existing products including compliance, servicing, scorecards, and insights across calls, turning findings into operational action
- Managing loan management system integrations, connecting lender systems through reusable integrations and canonical data models
- Launching opinionated 0-to-1 workflow automation products on the LMS foundation
- Driving end-to-end outcomes from field discovery and strategy through specifications, launch, adoption, and measurable operational impact
- Making product decisions that strengthen shared platform capabilities rather than accumulating bespoke implementations
- Active ownership of portfolio strategy, boundaries, sequencing, and product quality in partnership with the broader Marshall team
You will own the customer problem, product direction, execution, launch, adoption, and measurable outcomes—not simply a feature backlog. Success is defined through customer adoption and operational outcomes, not feature delivery alone.
The team works around 60 hours per week, beginning at 8:00 AM, with four days spent collaborating in person at the San Francisco office. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a generous 401(k), and catered lunches.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record owning meaningful enterprise product areas end to end with ability to adjust operating depth to problem complexity
- Experience shipping 0-to-1 products from ambiguous operational problems through production adoption
- Willingness to travel and sit beside lender operators to learn real workflows, exceptions, and workarounds
- Ability to reason about integrations, data models, workflow state, permissions, migrations, auditability, and source-of-truth boundaries
- Strong communication skills with frontline operators, lender executives, risk teams, and engineers
- Instincts for regulated, high-consequence systems and safe failure behavior
- Ability to form product opinions and know what to standardize, configure, or decline
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with loan servicing, collections, loan management systems, core banking, or adjacent financial operations
- Experience building integration, data, workflow automation, system-of-record, compliance, or quality-management products
- Background in contact-center analytics or AI-powered enterprise software
