Strava is seeking a Senior Product Manager II to own and evolve the company's authentication, authorization, and access control systems across iOS, Android, and web platforms. This role sits at the intersection of security, user experience, and platform growth, with dual responsibility for identity infrastructure and privacy product surfaces. In the Identity domain, you will own the complete product roadmap for sign-up, login, password management, MFA, and account recovery with unified experience across all platforms. You'll lead the launch of a single identity service across the Strava Group and extend login and account recovery to modern standards including OAuth, SSO, biometric authentication, passkeys, OTP, and phone-based recovery. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Security, Legal, and Trust & Safety on session management, secure authentication, and abuse prevention, while owning key identity metrics including authentication success rates, account recovery completion, security incidents, and user satisfaction. In the Privacy domain, you will define and drive a proactive privacy roadmap, own the athlete-facing privacy experience including consent flows, data settings, deletion, and portability, and partner with Legal to translate regulatory obligations (GDPR, CCPA, and emerging frameworks) into clear product decisions. You'll define how and to whom athlete data is shared and represent privacy as a product principle across the organization. Required qualifications include demonstrated ownership of authentication, authorization, or access-control product surfaces at a consumer app or platform. You must have strong cross-functional partnership skills, particularly with Engineering, Security, Legal, and Trust & Safety teams. Data fluency with tools like Amplitude or SQL is essential for measuring authentication funnels and feature adoption. You should have experience with privacy, consent, or data-controls features (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, PIPL) and ideally experience unifying identity or account systems across multiple products or brands. Comfort with AI/ML-driven product decisions and AI-forward development tools is valued. Strava is a venture-backed company (Sequoia Capital, TCV, Madrone Partners, Jackson Square Ventures) with over 200 million athletes across 185+ countries. The role operates on a flexible hybrid model with three days per week on-site in the San Francisco office.
