Socure is building identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy, verifying identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. This is a zero-to-one Senior Product Manager role focused on building and launching a new category of subscription products: proactive identity notifications that continuously monitor identities and alert customers when material changes occur.
You will own this product end-to-end from definition through general availability and beyond. Your responsibilities span three interconnected domains:
PRODUCT DEFINITION AND LAUNCH: Own the roadmap and launch of proactive identity notification products from beta through GA. Define the customer-facing event contract—what notifications contain, their lifecycle semantics, and how customers consume them. Design systematic customer feedback loops to continuously improve. Begin product definition for subsequent event types where customer problems are still being framed.
DATA SOURCE STRATEGY: Own what data sources Socure acquires and why. Define coverage gaps, specify what candidate sources must prove, and set the bar for acceptance. Run rigorous, hypothesis-driven evaluations measuring incremental lift rather than headline claims. Make buy/build/walk-away decisions. Specify licensing, retention, and derivative-use terms as first-class inputs to sourcing decisions. Hold the portfolio to KPIs, deciding which sources have earned their cost, which need renegotiating, and which to retire.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT: Define and instrument KPIs including coverage, precision, and recency. Build internal benchmarking capability independent of customer feedback. Define target KPIs that constitute winning in the market through competitive benchmarking and customer research. Quantify incremental subscriber value per period to inform pricing. Use SQL and analytics tooling to interrogate data directly.
ARCHITECTURE AND PLATFORM PARTNERSHIP: Partner with platform engineering to define how identity signals are resolved, merged, and published. Make architectural tradeoff calls on processing location. Shape a generalized, reusable notification mechanism so each new event type ships faster. Balance latency, cost, and refresh cadence against customer value.
COMMERCIALIZATION AND GO-TO-MARKET: Define pricing, packaging, and commercial terms for the subscription product in partnership with Legal, Finance, and Revenue. Identify and recruit early-adopter and design-partner customers. Establish and track beta and GA phases, coordinating cross-functional readiness to committed dates. Build positioning, marketing plans, and sales enablement materials with Product Marketing.
CUSTOMER AND COMPETITIVE RESEARCH: Build evidence-based understanding of performance against market leaders and real differentiation. Understand the bar customers will accept and be willing to say which customers and use cases should not be sold to yet. Assess and design around business risk of getting high-stakes identity signals wrong.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in product management, preferably in identity verification, fraud prevention, data products, or data/ML-driven products
- Demonstrated experience evaluating, acquiring, and operationalizing acquired data, including designing tests that isolate incremental lift and making walk-away decisions
- Strong understanding of APIs, SQL, databases, event-driven architectures, and product architecture
- Comfortable working with data directly, writing queries, and defining measurement methodology including precision, recall, and coverage benchmarking
- Experience as the product voice in data or technology vendor negotiations; knowledge of licensing, retention, and derivative-use term constraints
- Experience taking products to market covering pricing, packaging, beta programs, and launch
- Ability to balance technical complexity, customer needs, regulatory constraints, and business impact; set defensible "good enough to launch" bars with no precedent
- Experience working directly with customers in complex or high-stakes environments
- Strong ability to explain complex technical and data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives
- Proven cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Data Science, Legal, and go-to-market teams
PREFERRED:
- Familiarity with consumer data regulatory frameworks such as GLBA and FCRA
- Experience with entity resolution, identity graphs, or record-linkage systems
- Experience building a subscription or usage-based data product from zero to first revenue
