OpenGov is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to join the Applied AI team, focused on designing and building AI-native solutions for the revenue organization. This role sits at the intersection of seller workflows, revenue systems, and applied AI, with hands-on responsibility for building workflows, integrations, and automations that make sellers faster across SDR outbound, AE pipeline management, and CSM account management and renewals. You will own the signal-to-action layer for Sales, designing agents and automations that turn account/contact/product signal into qualified SDR sequences, AE opportunity actions, and CSM account and renewal actions. You will build for the full revenue lifecycle—not just top-of-funnel outbound—including deal-risk and next-best-action surfacing for AEs, and account-health and renewal-risk surfacing for CSMs. You will serve as product owner for systems built in-house, driving roadmap, prioritization, and quality standards in partnership with sales leadership and RevOps. Key responsibilities include: designing human oversight and approval gates for every agent shipped; building and running evaluation frameworks with seed scenarios and scoring rubrics; instrumenting and monitoring production agent activity tied to pipeline and revenue outcomes; mapping and redesigning seller workflows with an AI-native lens; connecting revenue systems (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, third-party signal sources); partnering with AI platform and data engineers on complex builds; serving as the primary AI capability advisor for Sales; driving adoption and change management; maintaining a living roadmap of AI initiatives; reporting business impact to executive leadership on a regular cadence; and communicating progress, priorities, and blockers across stakeholders. This role requires a sharp problem-solving mind, comfort with modern AI tools, and the ability to decompose complex manual seller workflows into components and design fundamentally better solutions. You will have access to data and core responsibilities at a level comparable to senior sales leadership and are expected to exercise that with corresponding discretion. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or related field - 4–7 years of experience in technical product management, sales/revenue operations, data science, GTM strategy or operations, solutions architecture, or closely adjacent function - Demonstrated experience using AI tools professionally (Claude, Cursor, Codex, agentic orchestration systems like n8n, make.com, or Airia) - Production experience building and operating agents, including tool use, context engineering, and evaluation frameworks - Past experience/exposure to GTM and Sales at a SaaS company - Exceptional problem-solving and first-principles thinking - Strong user research and discovery skills - Ability to bridge technical and business stakeholders - Comfort working in a code-first approach to enterprise sales systems (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, or similar) - Strong analytical skills: comfortable with data in spreadsheets, dashboards, or basic BI tools; working fluency with SQL - Self-starter with high initiative - Exceptional written and verbal communication NICE TO HAVE: - Prior experience in sales/revenue operations, customer success operations, or forward-deployed/solutions-architecture roles - Experience with Claude Code, Claude Agent SDK, or building MCP servers - Familiarity with AI governance concepts - Experience building or deploying workflow automations or internal tools without engineering support - Familiarity with Snowflake, Looker, or similar data platforms at a data analysis level - Applied ML and experimentation background (A/B testing, propensity models, recommendations, lead/account scoring) - Experience in fast-moving, high-growth SaaS environments - Experience at the intersection of Sales and Marketing, or Sales and RevOps - Prior exposure to public sector or B2G sales
