Apptronik is a Series B human-centered robotics company developing AI-powered humanoid robots (Apollo) to support humanity across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and beyond. You will own the complete product direction for the humanoid robot platform currently operating in the field. In this role, you will manage Apollo as a full-lifecycle product, translating customer outcomes, field data, and engineering constraints into a strategic roadmap that maximizes platform value at every stage. Key responsibilities include: • Owning and maintaining the platform roadmap, sequencing improvements across capability, reliability, cost, and supportability • Managing the deployed fleet as a product by defining operational metrics and driving priorities based on real-world performance data • Converting field data, service feedback, and customer deployment insights into clear requirements and communicating them to engineering teams • Leading trade studies that balance performance, reliability, cost, serviceability, and schedule; making and defending prioritization decisions between sustaining work and forward-looking capabilities • Managing change control for a product in the field, including prioritizing engineering changes, retrofit programs, and software/hardware rollouts with minimal customer disruption • Partnering with supply chain and engineering on component lifecycle risks, make/buy decisions, and second-sourcing strategies • Driving cost-reduction initiatives across the platform, connecting bill-of-materials and service costs to customer total cost of ownership • Evaluating emerging technologies and building business cases for adoption • Aligning platform deliverables with build cycles, deployment schedules, and program milestones • Supporting product marketing, partner relationships, and adoption acceleration initiatives You will need demonstrated experience managing hardware products across their full lifecycle from launch to end-of-life, managing the tradeoffs of shipping physical products and hardware iteration cycles, and using fleet/field/telemetry data to drive decisions. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication (verbal and written), and comfort making decisions under uncertainty are essential. A BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical field plus at least 5 years of product management experience are required. Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, platform transitions, or functional safety is a plus.
