Tempo builds work management tools trusted by 30,000+ customers, including a third of the Fortune 500. The company evolved from a Jira time-tracking add-on into a comprehensive product family covering time tracking, resource planning, budgeting, roadmapping, and program management within the Atlassian ecosystem. This is a senior individual-contributor role leading Tempo's end-to-end growth strategy across activation, engagement, expansion, cross-sell, upsell, and retention. You will own the growth vision and strategy rather than execute someone else's roadmap. You'll size opportunities, build comprehensive plans, and adjust based on learning from shipped work. Key responsibilities include: identifying and sizing growth opportunities across the full customer lifecycle (activation through monetization) using data and user journey mapping; building and owning the growth roadmap with explicit connections to company objectives and genuine cross-functional buy-in; partnering with core product teams to ship on shared surfaces; designing and running growth motions (onboarding, in-product messaging, cross-sell/upsell) that measurably move ARR; improving trial-to-paid and renewal funnels while knowing when self-serve motions need sales-assisted handoffs; turning data into decisions with statistical discipline; synthesizing qualitative user insights with quantitative analysis; building strong collaboration across Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing, and Sales without formal authority; designing and interpreting A/B and multivariate tests; and exploring how AI unlocks new growth mechanics (personalized onboarding, AI-driven lifecycle messaging, agentic experiences). Success in year one means: a growth roadmap the organization is aligned behind and actively resourcing; measurable movement on 1–2 north-star metrics (e.g., activation rate, trial-to-paid conversion, net revenue retention); and an experimentation cadence that reliably produces decisions. You bring 8+ years in growth roles at tech/SaaS companies with hands-on experience across activation, engagement, retention, and monetization. You have a track record improving trial, purchase, or renewal funnels and understand how self-serve and sales-assisted motions work together in B2B SaaS. You default to evidence over opinion, can build your own analytics cases, and know how to use data to decide rather than stall. You set vision and strategy rather than execute others' plans. You lead without formal authority across wide cross-functional groups, build real working relationships, and disagree and commit effectively. You have genuine customer empathy, map user journeys end-to-end, and spot friction points. You use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, V0) daily for discovery, prototyping, and analysis. You have a real record of designing and running experiments. You're entrepreneurial, treating growth areas as something you're building, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to communicate clearly to drive stakeholder action. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field required; advanced degree a plus. Nice-to-have: marketplace growth experience (Atlassian Marketplace, Microsoft Marketplace, Salesforce AppExchange).
