Vitalize Care is building intelligent operational software for hospitals, starting with labor management—the largest cost center (nearly 60% of hospital P&L). The company has raised over $32M and serves mission-critical functions that hospitals depend on continuously.
The Foundations team owns everything required to deploy Vitalize into hospitals quickly and correctly, spanning three areas: Data & Intelligence (integrations and ML/AI data foundations), Delivery & Configuration (deployment tooling and configurable workflows), and Rules & Compliance (union rules and workplace regulations enforced across the product).
As Senior Product Manager for Foundations, you'll transform bespoke, manual deployment processes into scalable, repeatable product. Today, hospital launches require custom engineering work, manual Deployments team effort, and one-off compliance logic. Your mission is to build the abstraction layer that eliminates this customization—unlocking major ARR by reducing time-to-live without scaling operations headcount.
Key responsibilities include: owning the company-wide integrations roadmap and engaging deeply in technical design; treating the Deployments team as a core customer and automating their manual work; translating complex union contracts and regulations into precise, testable product requirements; visiting customer sites during implementation (a few days every 1–2 months) to learn directly from their systems and teams; partnering with GTM and Deployments to shape the roadmap proactively; and defining what "configurable" means in practice through config surfaces, mapping tools, and workflow primitives.
You should have built internal tooling for cross-functional teams (Deployments, Success, etc.) and can demonstrate measurable throughput improvements; PM'd engineering through complex third-party enterprise integrations at a high-growth startup; conducted customer implementation conversations in their environments during real problems; prioritized roadmaps against live GTM pressure while resisting scope creep from high-value deals; and done this at a startup where the system didn't exist yet. Nice-to-haves include vendor relationship ownership, Customer Success or Deployments org experience, and healthcare/workforce management domain knowledge.
The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, flexible PTO, unlimited customer travel budget, bi-annual off-sites, free in-office meals, $5,000 relocation bonus, desk setup reimbursement, commuter benefits, and monthly wellness stipend.
