As Senior Product Manager for Field Operations, you will own the software and hardware products that field teams depend on for planning and execution. Your mission is to make field operations more efficient and profitable by improving performance (throughput, reliability, reduced downtime and errors) and user experience (simplicity, durability, friction-free workflows).
Key responsibilities include:
1. User Understanding & Feedback Loop: Engage directly with field operators, team leads, and operations leadership to understand their needs. Own the field-to-product feedback loop, translate operator know-how into product requirements and documented best practices, and lead cross-functional alignment routines between Product, R&D, and Operations.
2. Field Workflows & UX: Own the end-to-end field workflow from mission planning through site preparation, data collection, and end-of-day handoff. Optimize operator-facing flows under real constraints (time pressure, harsh environments, hardware limits) and drive toward a coherent field experience. Prioritize high-impact workflows to reduce time, errors, and ambiguity.
3. Release & Rollout: Define release gates and staged rollout processes across products and versions. Ensure versions are proven ready for field conditions before deployment. Coordinate rollouts with Operations to ensure teams receive necessary training, documentation, and support.
4. Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Define and own KPIs for field operations. Instrument products to capture key events and timings. Use data to investigate issues, analyze bottlenecks, validate impact, and build dashboards for stakeholders. Run structured experiments (before/after comparisons, usability tests, controlled pilots) and drive adoption.
You will work directly with R&D and operations leadership, translating field realities into product strategy and execution.
