Simpplr is an AI-powered intranet platform that unifies the digital workplace for over 1,000 organizations including AAA, NHS, Penske, and Moderna. The company is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the enterprise search strategy and execution across Magnus (their AI assistant) and the Simpplr platform. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end search experience, from content ingestion, chunking, and indexing through retrieval, ranking, and grounding into high-quality, permission-aware answers via retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). You will own the roadmap for enterprise search, defining vision for relevance, freshness, coverage, and trust with clear product requirements, user stories, and success metrics for both conversational and traditional search experiences. Key responsibilities include: developing strategy for unstructured and structured data ingestion pipelines; driving retrieval architecture decisions (lexical, semantic/vector, hybrid retrieval, re-ranking); defining how retrieved content is grounded into answers through RAG; establishing evaluation frameworks for search and RAG quality; and ensuring end-to-end security with permission scoping and document-level access controls. You will work closely with AI engineers, search/ML engineers, data scientists, designers, and cross-functional teams. The role requires strong technical fluency in modern search and AI concepts—indexing, chunking, embeddings, vector and hybrid retrieval, ranking, and RAG—combined with product judgment to translate technical concepts into measurable customer outcomes. Required qualifications: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; 5+ years of enterprise SaaS product management with 2+ years focused on search, information retrieval, or AI/ML products; deep technical fluency across the search stack; solid understanding of LLM and RAG mechanics; experience building evaluation frameworks and search metrics; working knowledge of enterprise security and permission-aware retrieval; and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
