Datadog is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead its visualization and analytical platform, which powers analytical workflows across nearly every Datadog product—from production troubleshooting to security risk assessment, product usage analysis, and cloud cost management. You will shape the analytical capabilities used across Datadog's product portfolio, working with a team of roughly 30 engineers and some of the strongest visualization talent in the industry. Your mission is to shorten the distance between data and value by helping new users reach useful insights faster, making sophisticated analysis easier to perform, and enabling experienced users to understand complex systems with greater speed and precision. Key responsibilities include: - Setting strategy for Datadog's visualization and analytical platform across products and customer segments - Making visualizations more self-explanatory through better labels, annotations, descriptions, and embedded system knowledge - Reimagining the query-building experience for an AI-first world, combining natural-language interaction with precision and control for expert users - Expanding analytical capabilities beyond observability data to enable exploration of third-party and business data alongside telemetry - Building onboarding and guided workflows that accelerate the path from raw data to useful analysis - Bringing automated investigation into visualizations through anomaly detection, dimensional analysis, and AI-powered investigation - Partnering with product teams across Datadog to create coherent analytical experiences while preserving domain-specific flexibility - Working closely with engineering, design, research, and go-to-market teams to translate technically ambitious platform investments into clear customer value - Defining and measuring success through improvements in time to insight, product adoption, analytical depth, and customer retention You bring significant product management experience building technically complex products, ideally in analytics, visualization, observability, databases, developer tools, or business intelligence. You can set long-term platform strategy while identifying focused, valuable increments. You understand that great analytical products require both power and approachability, and you have strong product taste regarding interaction design, information hierarchy, and how people make sense of complex data. You're comfortable working closely with engineers on query systems, data models, performance constraints, and platform architecture. You can influence across large organizations and align teams around shared capabilities without flattening distinct customer needs. You use customer insight and product data to identify where users struggle and determine which improvements will have the greatest impact. You communicate clearly and can turn expansive technical opportunities into compelling strategy, roadmap, and narrative.
