Turno is the leading operations platform for short-term rental hosts and property managers, operating since 2016. The company powers a two-sided marketplace connecting hosts with 65,000+ vetted service professionals globally, automating turnover logistics including scheduling, payments, quality control, and communication. With 150+ teammates across eight countries, Turno is scaling from a single-solution startup into a multi-product platform.
As Senior Product Manager for the Core Platform, you will own the features both sides of the marketplace depend on: how cleanings are scheduled, matched, completed, verified, and paid for. You'll transform real-world pain points into reliable, scalable, and profitable products using data, APIs, and AI.
Key responsibilities include:
**Product Strategy & Execution**: Own the core platform experience end-to-end. Set strategy, roadmap, and execution for scheduling, job completion, and operational quality features that hosts and cleaners rely on most. Run continuous discovery with hosts, cleaners, partners, and internal teams to synthesize clear problem statements and testable hypotheses.
**Marketplace Balance**: Make tradeoffs that keep the marketplace healthy for both sides. A win for hosts that hurts cleaner retention is not a win. Design for edge cases (substitutions, late arrivals, no-shows, damage reports) with the same rigor as primary flows, ensuring Operations can actually execute these workflows.
**Cross-functional Partnership**: Work daily with Engineering, Design, Operations, and leadership. Partner to define solutions, prioritize ruthlessly, and release high-quality work on a steady cadence. Drive alignment through clear communication and structured decision-making.
**Technical & AI Leadership**: Build Looker dashboards tracking product area health and define KPIs and instrumentation. Think API-first to ensure robust, scalable integrations with partners (Airbnb, property management systems). Design AI-enabled experiences beyond chat—proactive agents that resolve scheduling conflicts, flag quality issues, and audit completed work. Use AI-assisted coding tools to prototype and validate ideas before engineering handoff.
**Requirements**:
- 6+ years of product management in two-sided marketplaces or B2B SaaS, ideally with multi-sided interactions (supply and demand, buyers and sellers) and subscription business models
- Strong product sense and curiosity grounded in real user understanding; ability to ask "why" until root problems are clear
- AI experience: leverage AI throughout product tasks and planning
- Data fluency: experience defining KPIs, building instrumentation, and using BI tools to make decisions
- Strong communication skills: ability to turn complex technical or operational constraints into simple, persuasive stories for any audience
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Hands-on experience implementing customer engagement solutions (Braze, Iterable) including lifecycle messaging, push, in-app, and email journeys tied to product events
- Track record leading platform modernization: migration from legacy tech stack to modern stack paired with UX redesign across web and mobile apps, including sequencing the move, protecting existing users, and measuring impact
