Form Energy is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the product roadmap for battery energy storage system (BESS) commissioning, operations, and field service software. You will translate complex customer needs, field feedback, and business objectives into clear product requirements, roadmaps, and release plans. This role sits at the intersection of hardware and software, requiring you to partner closely with UX/UI designers, software/firmware engineers, data engineers, test engineering, and field teams to deliver integrated solutions that scale with the company's growing fleet of deployed systems. Key responsibilities include evolving the commissioning and operations software suite (both local/on-premise and cloud-based), defining and validating product features with designers, managing iterative build-measure-learn cycles, and using data-driven metrics to prioritize the roadmap. You will own acceptance criteria, feature lists, and release coordination while working in a fast-moving startup environment where you may need to unblock delivery across multiple functions—from writing user stories to triaging field issues. You bring 5–7 years of product management experience with demonstrated success shipping customer-facing software applications. Ideally, you have familiarity with integrated hardware-software products and understand the tradeoffs between firmware, hardware constraints, and software/UX. Energy industry experience or knowledge of BESS commissioning, edge device management, condition monitoring, incident response, remote firmware/software updates, and operations is highly valued. You are user-centered, data-fluent, and comfortable defining KPIs and using data to drive decisions. Above all, you have a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Form Energy manufactures long-duration iron-air battery systems to strengthen the electric grid and enable clean energy at scale. The company has signed contracts with leading US utilities and is ramping production at its first high-volume manufacturing facility in West Virginia. Relocation assistance is available.
