BlaBlaCar is the world's leading community-based travel platform, enabling 27 million members annually to carpool or travel by bus across 21 countries. The company operates with 800 employees across 5 global offices, with 30% working fully remote. You will own the Carpool Experience product area—everything between two members from the moment they find each other through the final goodbye. This encompasses six core product areas used by millions monthly: **Product Scope:** - Negotiation: Pre-booking requests for detours, price adjustments, and special requests with driver counter-offers. Launched in France in 2025, rolled globally in 2026; significant opportunity to define its future. - Messaging: Driver-passenger chat with planned Group Chat and feature parity improvements. - GPS Tracking: Technical capability and derived features (ETA sharing, regional incentives). - Post-Carpool Experience: Claims, ratings, and trust-building, including BlaBlaCar's first consumer-facing GenAI feature (AI Ratings Summary). - Communication Service: Platform managing all push notifications, emails, SMS, and WhatsApp messages company-wide, plus member preference settings. - Marketing Tools: Braze integration and deeplinks for CRM and marketing teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build vision and strategy for your scope; translate into ambitious OKRs with leadership alignment. - Own business metrics, reliability targets, and costs; review monthly and act proactively. - Shape Negotiation's evolution—identify real value for members and BlaBlaCar, explore new use cases (post-booking negotiation, conversion, usage), and measure impact on passengers and GMV. - Ship next-generation member interactions: Group Chat, live location sharing, and Communication Service v2. - Run A/B tests and country-by-country rollouts with pre-set decision rules in coordination with Legal, Privacy, and country leads. - Present progress, decisions, and trade-offs to the Executive Committee every two weeks; take clear positions, defend them, and adapt based on evidence. - Raise the bar across the product team by sharing methods, coaching other PMs, and challenging how the organization works. **Requirements:** - 5+ years of product management experience, ideally on consumer apps, with at least one end-to-end scope owned over multiple quarters with measurable business impact. - Daily use of AI tools. - Fluent in English. - You take full ownership of product outcomes: go to data with questions, spot changes before they're flagged, act without waiting for direction. - Turn multiple signals into clear strategy: combine data, user research, market moves, and tech constraints into a coherent product direction, not a project list. Explain it in two minutes; maintain consistency across conversations; cut complexity to ship more with less. - Understand the business fundamentally: know how BlaBlaCar makes money and where your scope fits. Articulate key metrics, current levels, and drivers without opening dashboards. Discuss PAX, GMV, and cost impact as naturally as features. - Strong opinions with an open mind: take clear positions backed by evidence; change your view openly when better arguments emerge. - Leadership-level communication: have owned C-level and ExCo discussions on strategy and trade-offs, resulting in decisions. Adapt messaging to each audience; resolve conflicts constructively. Note: The posting encourages applications even if you don't meet 100% of qualifications—explain why you'd still be a strong fit.
